Takayuki Tohge, member of the working group from Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology, participated in a public symposium on “Phytochemical Plant Molecular Sciences” at Chiba University, Japan on the 16th of March. In his talk he presented information regarding the N. glauca plant, which is one of the two non-food crops under evaluation in the MultiBioPro project.

During his trip to Japan he also took part in the symposium on “Harnessing Catalytic and Regulatory Diversity of Plant Metabolism”, which was held during the 57th Annual Meeting of Japanese Society of Plant Physiologists from the 18th-20th of March in Morioka, Japan. His presentation had the title “Metabolomics-assisted functional genomics on plant phenolic secondary metabolism” and made reference to his findings regarding the Solanacea plants.
