3rd Ghent Bio-Economy Summer School 2014

The Ghent Biobased Economy Summer School will be held at Ghent University, Belgium, 25-28 August, 2014. Pre- and post-doctoral as well as industrial researchers are cordially invited to participate at the meeting.

This year´s summer school offers a profound overview of the biobased economy. A number of world-leading experts will cover the complete process from biomass to bioproduct. Moreover, the summer school will deal with important social aspects such as the ₺food versus fuel“ debate and  the use of genetically modified organisms (GMO).

To round off the meeting, the participants will have the opportunity to discover the city of Ghent with its unique historic flair, delicious gastronomy and vivid nightlife.

The concept of the Bio-Economy Summer School has been very successful: it attracted around 50 researchers from all over the world at the previous events in 2012 and 2013.
